Chancellor Masrour Barzani received today British Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Frank Baker, to discuss recent regional
developments and progress in the anti-ISIL campaign.
Both officials agreed to increase cooperation to continue the fight against terror and address conditions that led to the rise of extremist ideology.
They stressed that developments should not impact our bilateral partnership and commitment to the war on terror.
The meeting also touched the upcoming referendum in the Kurdistan Region. They discussed the need for peoples of the region to accept one another and through peaceful means address differences to secure their rights and aspirations
The British Consul General in Erbil also attended the meeting.
